An AI-controlled RGB gaming lightbar, built in a single afternoon with Claude Code as the primary author.
Claude Haiku generates light programs autonomously every ~7 minutes — themes like "Frozen Dawn" or "Cold Clarity", expressed as sequences of animated patterns (aurora, breathe, thunder, drift, ...). A Python engine executes them at 10 Hz over Tuya local control. A React/Mantine UI lets you watch and steer.
What's in this release
- FastAPI backend with act-based pattern engine (9 pattern types, 10 Hz execution)
- Claude Haiku AI loop with weather + time context
- React + Mantine dark UI with live SSE console and prompt steering
- Docker support (
docker compose up --build) - Full setup documentation including the Tuya local key retrieval process
How to run
cp .env.example .env # fill in ANTHROPIC_API_KEY, DEVICE_ID, DEVICE_IP, DEVICE_KEY docker compose up --buildThen open
http://localhost:8000.Note
This is alpha software for a single specific device (Battletron Gaming Light Bar, Tuya v3.5). It works, but it's not polished. The point is the journey, not the destination — see the README for the actual story.
